The attorneys of Dummer Law Group have established reputations in the areas of residential and commercial real estate along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The attorneys serving the Gulf Coast routinely structure and provide assistance on residential and complex commercial developments. The Dummer Law Group is an ALTA certified firm with title agencies through Mississippi Valley Title and North American Title Company.

Our attorneys routinely represent large corporations along the Gulf Coast during complex lease negotiations. These lease negotiations have included multiple parties, tax benefit negotiations, CDBG Grant compliance and lines of credit.

The firm recently won a Summary Judgment ruling in a complex adverse possession case between two siblings. The litigation spanned over a period of four years wherein Stephen was successfully able to place the Plaintiff, claiming adverse possession, in a lose/lose situation wherein the court ultimately ruled in our client’s favor and dismissed the case in toto.

The attorneys of Dummer Law Group have handled numerous disputes regarding property lines, ownership, title and conveyance disputes. The firm has assisted clients in property line disputes, fraudulent conveyance, ejectment, enforcement of covenants, the negotiation of boundary agreements, quiet title actions, removing clouds on title as well as zoning issues. Our attorneys have assisted clients in converting portfolios of tax title deeds to more financially sound warranty deeds through the title confirmation process, including negotiating the release of property rights.

The attorneys of Dummer Law Group have successfully pursued cases on real estate matters, involving defective construction. In one case, the plaintiff filed the lis pendens, clouding title to the owner’s property. The lis pendens was cancelled, and the case settled a week before trial. The plaintiff, in addition to performing substandard work in the construction of a large commercial building, could not show a vested, relevant interest in the real property. The large sum of money claimed by the plaintiff as due under the construction contract was waived, and the matter settled in favor of the firm’s client.
