Data Management, Reporting Litigation Support Capabilities

Expertise and utilization of document management resources to manage workflow.

The Dummer Law Group utilizes a secure managed Unified Threat Management System dedicated to electronic document management for efficient and safe storage of all electronic documents. Every matter handled receives dedicated mirrored space on our server, backup server and remote offsite cloud based storage. Document content is searchable, and the data is synced to multiple cloud based encrypted back-up servers.

Utilization of Technology to Efficiently Perform Legal Functions.

Dummer Law Group maintains a shared calendar system dedicated to trials and litigation deadlines. We create templates in-house to aide in the drafting of standard legal documents and frequently used client documents. All firm servers are synced to back-up secured, mirrored and encrypted cloud storage.

Disaster Preparedness Plan in Effect to Protect Clients

If a hurricane or natural disaster threatens the Mississippi Gulf Coast, the Dummer Law Group, has protocols in place to protect all client information and files. All data is securely stored in third party cloud mirrored based servers which are accessible from any location with management credentials. Mirrored storage is also removed from the premises and stored in a safe offsite location. All important paper files and data are moved to interior spaces of the offices of Dummer Law Group.

Dummer Law Group also has multiple technologies in place to limit business interruption during disasters:

  • Replication – Our critical data are replicated real time 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to secured cloud based servers. All client and management data stored in our encrypted cloud based portal remains available even if the office loses power, or is evacuated.
  • E-mail continuity – Dummer Law Group has a secondary system for protection of e-mail connectivity. If the firm’s primary and replication sites were to both fail at the same time the firm can utilize its own domain service or additional services provided from its time and billing management software to allow attorneys and staff access to e-mail systems via the Internet from any location.
  • Inbound communications – During a disaster, the firm’s calls and faxes are forwarded to a secure digital answering service which then forwards all calls/faxes to the firm’s individual attorneys’ cell phones. This service will be able to provide callers with information from firm management and will be able to take messages and forward the call directly to the attorney in charge of the file.
  • Website – The Dummer Law Group website (www.dlg-pllc.com) is updated with firm status and any other relevant information during a disaster to ensure that clients and staff are aware of any and all developments.
  • Attorney/Staff communication – Dummer Law Group employs an emergency communication system to keep attorneys and staff informed. This system allows attorneys and staff members to update contact information from the web to ensure the firm can remain in contact, even during a disaster. This insures that attorney client contact is maintained at all times.
